Darwin schools, community organisations and businesses have until Friday 30 October 2026 to register a float for the city's Christmas Pageant. City of Darwin says eligible participants can apply for up to $500 towards building and presenting their float, subject to terms and conditions. The pageant is scheduled for Saturday 14 November, with the procession running from 6pm to 6.45pm.

The announced route begins on The Esplanade at Knuckey Street, passes through the city centre and finishes on Smith Street at Civic Park. The Christmas Makers Market will operate in The Mall from 4pm to 7pm, offering products, gifts and artwork from local artists and businesses. Groups considering a float should check the council's registration information and funding conditions before applying.
