Published · Cenlocal summary
Darwin’s free 14 November celebrations include a makers market, street pageant, tree lighting and a concert at Civic Park.
Darwin’s Christmas celebrations return on Saturday 14 November 2026 with free activities across the city centre, according to the City of Darwin. A Christmas Makers Market is listed in The Mall from 4pm to 7pm, with the street pageant running from 6pm to 6.45pm.
The Lord Mayor’s Christmas tree lighting follows at 7pm, before a Civic Park concert from 7.30pm to 9pm featuring local performers, schools and community groups. The program connects market browsing, a procession and an evening park gathering.
Float registration closed on 30 October, so the current program is most relevant to spectators. Check the City’s official Christmas information for updated access, route and road arrangements before travelling.
