Listing Guidelines

A listing may only be created by the business owner or by someone the business has authorised to act for it. By submitting a listing you confirm you have that authority.

Listings must describe a real business that is currently trading or preparing to trade in Australia.

Business name, contact details, location and description must be accurate and kept up to date. If details change, please update the listing or contact us.

Do not use another business's name, branding or contact details, and do not add keywords, slogans or extra locations to the business name field.

Describe what your business actually does. Do not make claims you cannot support, including claims about qualifications, licences, accreditation, awards, endorsements or results.

Where a licence, registration or insurance is legally required for your work, you must hold it. Cenlocal does not verify licences, insurance or qualifications on your behalf.

Only upload images and video you own or are licensed to use. Images must relate to the business. No offensive, misleading or unrelated media, and no images of people who have not agreed to appear.

You choose whether your street address is published, shown as a suburb only, or hidden. Home addresses do not have to be published. Private details such as an ABN supplied for verification are not published on your listing.

Listings must not contain unlawful content, adult services in breach of law, misleading health or financial claims, discriminatory material, malware, or content that infringes another party's rights. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

Cenlocal reviews each submission and may approve it, ask for changes, or decline it. A published listing can be suspended or removed if it breaches these guidelines. There is no charge for a listing that is under review or not approved.

Paid packages add features to a listing. They do not change these guidelines and do not guarantee traffic, enquiries, sales or search-engine rankings.
