Published · Cenlocal summary
Rouse Hill High School’s new two-storey block adds 11 permanent classrooms and two science labs, lifting the school’s capacity by 240 students.

Rouse Hill High School students began Term 4 with new permanent teaching spaces after a major upgrade opened ahead of schedule. The NSW Department of Education reported the milestone on 9 October 2026.
The new two-storey building contains 11 classrooms and two science laboratories. The department says it increases the school’s capacity by 240 students, with incoming Year 12 students able to use permanent classrooms as they begin their HSC studies.
The upgrade forms part of a wider school infrastructure program in The Hills. The department also identifies work at Cherrybrook Public School and completed upgrades at Castle Hill Public School and Matthew Pearce Public School. The Rouse Hill facilities are now in use, rather than a proposal awaiting construction.
