City of Darwin says it has completed 66 residential driveway upgrades across six suburbs through its 2026–27 Driveway Program. The announcement, published on 27 October 2026, covers Nakara, Anula, Jingili, Moil, Wagaman and Tiwi.

The works replaced ageing bitumen driveways with reinforced concrete. Council says the change improves property access and provides longer-lasting infrastructure with reduced maintenance requirements.
