Brisbane City Council is carrying out essential node renewal works on the heritage Walter Taylor Bridge, which links Indooroopilly and Chelmer.
Remaining closure dates
The bridge will be closed to all vehicles overnight:
- 9pm Saturday 24 October to 5am Sunday 25 October 2026
- 9pm Wednesday 4 November to 5am Thursday 5 November 2026
A section of Wharf Street (between Rosebery Terrace and Regatta Street) and Radnor Street (between Foxton Street and Riverview Terrace) will also close during these times.
Getting around
Public transport services are not affected. The bridge footpath closes during work hours, and pedestrians and cyclists can use the Jack Pesch Bridge instead. Drivers should plan an alternative route and allow extra travel time.
