Brisbane mall busking auditions scheduled for 7 November

Performers seeking a licence to busk in Brisbane's city malls have an upcoming audition opportunity on Saturday 7 November 2026. Brisbane City Council lists the session at the Queen Street Mall stage from 9am to 11.30am. Applicants must pass an audition before receiving a licence and apply through the council's online form. There is no fee for the licence, which is issued for three months.

Auditions generally take three to five minutes, depending on the act. A council officer and Brisbane Economic Development Agency representatives assess performances. Permitted acts include singing, dancing, solo and group music, comedy, mime and living statues. Amplification and electronic devices cannot be used at auditions or during licensed performances. Check the council's application information before attending.
