Perth Celebrates Spring with Boorloo in Bloom
Published · Updated · Cenlocal summary
The City of Perth has filled parks, malls and streets with more than 10,000 plants this spring. Here are some of the best places to see the colour.

Spring has arrived in Boorloo, and the City of Perth has marked the season by planting out parks, gardens, streets and public spaces across the city.
According to the City, its Parks and Environment team has used more than 10,000 plants from local nurseries, together with unusual flora supplied through its ongoing collaboration with Kings Park and Botanic Garden.
Where to see the displays
The City has highlighted seven spots worth visiting this season:
- Stirling Gardens – the historic entrance to the oldest park in Western Australia, planted with a diverse, carefully arranged garden.
- The Impossible Triangle – a layered native cottage garden on a roundabout that acts as a gateway to East Perth.
- Hay Street and Murray Street Malls – pop-up floral displays through the CBD, including seating among the plants near the City of Perth Library.
- Moort-ak Waadiny (Wellington Square) – a family-friendly park with a collection of WA flora in its north-west corner.
- Victoria Gardens entrance – a mix of heights, habits and colours that offers ideas for home gardens, with a walk down to the river.
- David Carr Memorial Park – WA flora around the lake, where visitors may spot Snake-necked Turtles.
- Thomas Street Biodiversity Corridor – a median garden of West Australian natives running from Kings Park Road to Stirling Highway.
Enjoying the season
Whether you are walking through a park, shopping in the malls or just passing through, the displays are free to enjoy. Please stay on paths and take care around wildlife and planted areas.
Details are drawn from the City of Perth's published story. Displays change over the season.
