Published · Cenlocal summary
A free celebration will bring brass-band music, Devonshire tea and ceremonial sequoia planting to the Hobart park.

Hobart residents are invited to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of St David's Park at a free garden party on Friday 13 November 2026. The City of Hobart has scheduled the gathering from 10am to 1pm around the park's rotunda. Its announcement asks people planning to attend to book a free ticket through the Humanitix link on the council website.
The program includes Devonshire tea, a brass band and actors wearing period costume, with tables and chairs arranged around the rotunda. A ceremonial planting of two young giant sequoias will honour the two sequoias lost earlier this year. Visitors can also explore the park's established trees, wall of headstones and entrance lions while enjoying the anniversary gathering.
